This Pitru Paksha, House of Purohit offers a simple, respectful way to observe this tradition from home: share your family’s gotra and the names of those you wish to remember, and our Purohit performs the seva on your behalf, livestreamed for your family to witness.

Significance

According to Hindu tradition, Pitru Paksha is a period for remembering ancestors through Shraddha, Tarpana, and acts of charity such as Anna Daan. This is offered as traditional guidance and an act of devotion — subject to family tradition and Purohit guidance, not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

What if I don’t know my Gotra?
You can mark your Gotra as unknown during booking. This is common and does not prevent your seva from being performed.
How many ancestors can I include?
Each seva group includes up to 4 ancestors. You may add further groups, up to a total of 12 ancestors.
What is included in the ₹599 seva?
The base seva includes sankalpa preparation, ancestor remembrance with your provided gotra details, Purohit-led seva, and booking confirmation for up to 4 ancestors.
How much does an additional ancestor group cost?
Each additional group of up to 4 ancestors is ₹599, up to a maximum of 3 groups (12 ancestors) per booking.
Can I book Pitru Seva online?
Yes. All details are collected online before payment, and your seva is performed by our Purohit according to the schedule shown on this page.
When do bookings close?
Bookings close on 5 October 2026 at 11:58 PM IST.
What happens after payment?
You will receive a confirmation with your booking details. Your ancestor and sankalpa information is prepared for the officiating Purohit ahead of the seva.
